As I sit at my computer today, a thought crossed my mind. There is a common link between myself and millions of total strangers. Race, profession, age has nothing to do with this connection.
We're all on a secret mission looking for the "Lost Dutchman's Mine" in the Superstition Mountains of Arizona - all of us are looking for that mysterious evasive thing called youth. Millions, in fact billions of dollars are spent every year on scrubs, rubs, moisturizers, creme's, eye treatment and masks hoping to reinvent that youthful appearance we had years ago.
Anti-aging products are one of the biggest industries in the world because it's human nature to want to slow down the aging process. Women aggressively purchase one product after another in hopes of chasing those wrinkles, crows feet and frown lines away. Funny thing is men do the same thing, but sort of keep their search for "youth" undercover. As you know men are from a different planet!
Then there are some people like myself (age 73) who reluctantly look in the mirror every AM, because no doubt we'll see another little line or indentation taking up residence on our face. Three weeks ago this "doubting Thomas's" life changed forever just because a friend asked me to watch a "Nerium AD" video.
I watched the video just out of courtesy and sent a quick email back to friend, "Looks like an OK product, but not for this 73 year old." Several days later, she asked me to try it for 5 days - I laughed an said OK. She took a before picture, a close up I might add that exposed every crack, cranny and pot hole on my face.
I did not share this Nerium adventure with my immediate family - knowing they would laugh at me for trying one more product in my futile search for the "fountain of youth." I kept my actions under cover, because I pretty much knew the drill "Nothing was going to happen in five days."
Day one, nothing unusual happened.
Day two noticed a difference in the way my skin felt, but I certainly didn't share this with anyone thinking it was just my imagination.
Day three - I was prancing around my bathroom trying to figure out what was happening to my face
Day four - it was obvious that my face was taking on a new tone and the deep wrinkles between my eyes were somewhat diminished.
Day five - called friend and said I'm in. I'm now a Nerium International Brand Partner at the age of 73 and darned proud of it!
